World Series Game 5 at Wrigley

October 26-31: Chicago Initially when I planned this trip, I planned on driving to Louisville to see my brother and his fiancĂ© instead of going back through Chicago. This changed thanks to the Cubs working their way through the playoffs. When I left Chicago five weeks earlier, I had already determined that I was coming back through Chicago since we had faith that the Cubs would be in the World Series and my brother would be coming to Chicago to see a part of history. I had no idea that I would have tickets to the game. My family was obsessed with the Cubs. We watched every game and I can't remember anything else I did during this time at home. I watched game 2 at home with my parents and the Cubs won 5-1. I went to my cousins house to watch game 3 with my entire family, which was depressing given that they lost 1-0. Fun with Friends in Colorado!

October 23: Boulder! I woke up so excited because I would be spending the day with a dear friend. Em and I were college volleyball teammates at Purdue and I love her to death. Sadly with her living in Boulder and me living in DC, we don't see each other often, which was why I was so excited for the day. I had a three hour drive east on 70, passing Vail and Breckenridge to get to Boulder. It was a beautiful drive through some of the mountain areas. Vail looked like a fun town to visit someday, but I was in a hurry to get to Boulder to visit with Em and her husband, who I hadn't met yet. I arrived before lunch and it was so nice to hug Em. Em is such a loving spirit and when you enter her life, she embraces you to the fullest. I got to meet CT, her husband, and her brother, sister-in-law, and niece who live next door. We enjoyed a healthy lunch (she was so relieved that I eat salads now since I refused to eat them in college) and set out on our adventure for the day. She to
