Celebrating at Disney! Hollywood Studios and Epcot

Race is over so time to celebrate!  We had planned ahead on the parks and booked FastPasses.  Post race on Sunday, we went back to the hotel, cleaned up and got some breakfast.

Then off to Hollywood Studios!  This is a park with the least amount of rides and the most shows so we didn't have to worry about the limited time in the park and we had plenty of chances to sit and enjoy the shows. It was also not very crowded which was a huge plus.  Immediately we found the Memory Pass camera guys and got pictures...gotta document this trip.  We also found several characters so we jumped in line for Goofy.  He stole Jo's medal and wore it on his nose.  It was entertaining.  After that we hit several rides, using our Fast Passes well.  I hadn't been to this park in at least 6 years so it was nice to go again.  I still love Tower of Terror (Hiram probably not so much...see picture below).  Rock N' Roller coaster is still great but the best discovery of the day was definitely Toy Story Mania.  I loved this ride and we all wish we could have gone on it again.  We caught the Indiana Jones show, the Car Stunt show, and Fantasmic.  Fantasmic ended at 7:30 and we were happy to head back to the hotel for a fast dinner and bed.  We had been up since 2:30 am so overall, we did really well.

Day 2: Epcot!
After one of the  best nights of sleep in a very long time, we were up and on our way to Epcot.  We were excited to try a few rides and take our time enjoying the world.  We ran to Test Track first since we didn't have a Fast Pass for it.  It had changed so much since the last time I was there.  No more crash dummies and construction look. The design was very sleek and focused on the design of the car. While in line, you could play with interactives to control the contours of a car and see how that reflected on certain performances.  And you get to design your own car that will go through the tests with you.  Jo and I focused on power and responsiveness and I am happy to say that we won the power test but Eric and Jenny won overall performance.
The girls were having fun
After Test Track, we hit Finding Nemo, Spaceship Earth, Soarin', and Mission Space.  Spaceship Earth still makes me wish I were an astronaut and Soarin' is still a very fun ride. We even waited 20 min to see Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie.  Goofy was very entertaining and even flirted with me because I am tall. We got some great pictures with these guys.
Mickey is still my favorite

Super entertaining

And Minnie

What a great looking group
Finally time to start the world.  Hiram's goal was to eat something from every country. I modified that goal to eating or drinking at every country. We started with lunch in Mexico and worked around. I tried the following food: Norway-pastry, China-sip of plum wine, Germany-Riesling flight, Italy-gelato, America-popcorn, Japan-sake shot, Morocco-baklava, France-wine and pastry, and UK-chips from Hiram's fish and chips. Hiram was successful in eating in every country and handled it well.  My favorite countries are still Italy, France, and Germany (maybe it is the wine). We took about 7 hours to enjoy the beautiful day around the world and ended the day with the Illuminations firework show. This park is much better as an adult. After the whole day on our feet, we were happy to head home and rest up for the next day.
Ducky needed a pic with Donald.
